Caring and knowledgeable staff
Bila Hamdael

As a mother of three children, I understand how important it is to find a safe, loving, and enriching place for your child to learn and grow. My passion for childcare began at a young age while helping raise my younger siblings in a large and loving family. Although caring for little ones could be challenging at times, it helped me develop valuable childcare skills early in life—and I’ve carried that experience into the nurturing environment I provide today.

I know how critical the early years are for a child’s growth and development. That’s why my childcare program focuses on building confidence, independence, social-emotional skills, and healthy habits. I create a warm, structured environment that supports each child as a whole person. My approach includes positive reinforcement, redirection, and gentle guidance within a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers.

Before opening my childcare, I earned a degree in Radiography and worked for five years as a professional X-ray technologist at a hospital. While helping my sister care for her children on weekends, I discovered how much joy working with little ones brought me. Soon after, I made the life-changing decision to transition into childcare full-time—and I’ve never looked back.

I am fully qualified to care for young children, and I take my commitment to professional growth seriously. I am currently working toward my Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and will pursue National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) Accreditation. I am also an active member of local childcare networks, including the Kingstowne/Franconia Childcare Network and the Virginia Alliance for Family Child Care Associations. I regularly attend trainings, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.

Our family has lived in the Kingstowne/Island Creek community for over 15 years. To create a warm and inspiring learning environment, we have intentionally designed our home childcare space with children in mind. We are located in a quiet, safe neighborhood and offer:

✅ A large fenced outdoor play area

✅ A spacious, child-friendly playroom filled with educational and age-appropriate materials

✅ Separate rooms for eating, resting, and activities

My goal is to provide a place where children feel safe, happy, supported, and excited to learn. I strive to build meaningful relationships with every child—through play, conversation, encouragement, and engaging hands-on activities.

Your child’s well-being, happiness, and development are my top priorities. I am committed to giving each child the foundation they need to blossom emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically. I look forward to partnering with you in your child’s early learning journey.
